Martina

Martina has a genetic condition that has led to various challenges, including developmental delays and low muscle tone, making physical activities especially difficult for her.

A mother from school told me about the therapeutic horseback riding program at Full Stride. At first, I was hesitant—Martina doesn’t like animals much and tends to be very nervous—but my husband and I decided to take a chance.

To my surprise, by the second class, she was on a horse for the first time, and I couldn’t hold back my tears of joy. She had never even ridden a carousel horse because she was so afraid. We had given her a bicycle for her birthday, but she wouldn’t even look at it. Yet, after just her second riding lesson, we found her the next morning trying to pedal her bike.

With each class, I see her becoming calmer, more comfortable around the horses, and more engaged in the activities. It’s incredible that in just four lessons, I’ve already witnessed such a huge change in her. It truly shows how amazing horses can be in helping children’s development.

I’m so grateful to Stacey and Sheryl for their patience and kindness in helping my daughter find the courage to ride. I hope she can continue her lessons because I know she will keep making progress.

Sincerely,

One Overjoyed Mom

Richie

Through riding, Richie has developed improved balance, coordination, and muscle strength, which has greatly enhanced his physical abilities. This experience has also boosted his confidence and self-esteem, as he learns to trust and connect with the horse. Emotionally, the calm and supportive environment has provided him with a sense of peace and accomplishment. The bond he’s formed with the horse has taught him patience and empathy, enriching his overall emotional well-being and social skills. It’s been a transformative journey, watching him grow in ways that extend far beyond the riding arena.

Kindly, Richie's mom

Olivia

I previously did horseback riding as a young child but eventually stopped and never considered doing it again until I found Full Stride a few months ago. As a wheelchair user,  I have noticed positive changes physically but it has also improved my confidence. I appreciate Stacey being patient and willing to figure out the best way for me to be able to ride again.

Emma

Word of mouth brought us to Full Stride Therapeutic in October of 2023. My daughter, Emma, has been attending private sessions ever since.

Emma has low muscle tone and riding has been one of the most valuable therapies she has ever received! We've seen improvement in Emma's tone, balance and very importantly, her confidence. Her school occupational and physical therapists have noted improvement in her hand strength, balance, and posture - among other things.

The bonus....the staff is INCREDIBLE!!! You will always be greeted with open arms and kindness.
Your child's safety is always top priority. Lessons are tailored to the students. Lessons are informative and fun. Stacey has created such a magical space!

I highly recommend Full Stride Therapeutic!!!
